WaffleLED3 was born out of frustration. After years of managing LED productions with a combination of spreadsheets, sketches and memory, Steven "Waffle" Lemahieu spent three years building the tool he always wished existed.

It covers the full workflow — from building your component library of tiles, processors and cables, to designing a wall, mapping pixels, planning power distribution, organising your road cases and generating print-ready PDF documentation for your crew.

Available on macOS and iOS. Works in metric or imperial. Supports all major LED manufacturers and connector types out of the box.

Workflow

How it works

01
Build your library
Start by adding your hardware components — tiles, processors, receiver cards, fibre boxes and power distros. You can use the built-in presets for common manufacturers like ROE, INFiLED and Absen, or define your own custom specs. This library travels with every project.

Map your pixels
Switch to the pixel map view to visualise data routing across your wall. The Quick Pixelmap tool lets you generate standalone maps for individual sections or the full wall, with data line overlays you can hand directly to your media server operator.

Create a design
Create a new wall design and add sections. Each section defines a grid of panels using your chosen tile type, processor, and snake direction. You can mix tile types within a section, cut openings into the grid, and see real-time counts for panels, ports and power.

Plan power & looms
Add power distros to your design and assign circuits per section. The power editor calculates load per circuit automatically. Then build your loom runs — define cable lengths and connector types and WaffleLED3 generates the full loom documentation for you.

Pack & export
Use the truck planner to lay out your road cases on the floor plan and generate a packing list. When you're ready, export the full project to PDF — wall drawings, pixelmaps, loom sheets, truck plan and packing list — all branded with your own company logo.
